. >> and i'm megan pringle. >> thank you for joining us on this thursday morning. we're going to head out live to the casino later on but in the meantime headed anywhere you need to know how the weather is going to be. here's meteorologist mike masco. >> you think linda is gambling this morning? >> absolutely. yes. >> 41 in town but outside the beltway. 36 timonium and bel air good morning to you. 35. it's a chilly morning and we do have a coastal flood advisory so fort mchenry tunnel just some minor flooding right now. port deposit near havre de grace minor flooding. so just know if you live in an area prone to bay flooding you might want to move things the higher ground. the second story this morning will be the winds and it's a high wind advisory through the course of the afternoon. as winds could gust up to 40. perhaps maybe 350 miles an hour. so it's a raw ride out there for the rest of the morning. gusty winds and then yes, a weekend storm potential and this could bring some snow. we'll talk more about that come up in just a little bit. let's talk traffic and lauren cook over at the
's christmas eve morning. i am megan pringle. charley has the day off but lynette charles is here and a lot of people are heading out to the malls or somewhere downtown in the community and they want to know how warm do they have to dress? >> and i am one of those people i hate to say. we all need to bundle up this morning. the temperatures are cold. and i say bundle up because once you get to the mall you will want to take off the coat when you roll up your sleeves to do the last-minute shopping. 30 in glenelg millersville at 27 and pylesville at 29. and as we check out maryland's most powerful radar, we are dry for right now. i have all five sweeps on and we are scanning the skies. throughout the day we will have light rain push in and we could see snow mainly off toward the north and west. so this is how to plan your day accordingly. we have the planner here and temperatures by 8:00 coming in at 31. and still dry as we go into the lunchtime it's quite brisk out there. 39 degrees the high temperature for today is 40 degrees. and coming in below average because we should be at 43 degrees f

a great weekend. thanks for joining us on i am megan pringle. charley crowson is off and there are delays this morning. tal bort county and queen annes county on a 90 minute delay because of the fog. >> we have a dense fog advisory until 9 this morning. wouldn't be surprised if the fog advisory is extended because we are talking about visibility less than a quarter of a mile in a lot of spots. we can see the gray shading for entire viewing area. be prepared as you get out there. we are looking at slow travel times and lauren will give you that coming up. but maryland's most powerful radar, we are dry and at least that's what it look like but we have drizzle out there to talk about this morning as well. once that sun comes up, we are going to be dealing with a dreary look day and we will have the chance for showers to move in as well and also we have a warm front that's going to move through the area. that's going to warm the temperatures up but we will have a cold front slicing through the area as well. and that's going to make for difficult times as well. because there's a chance for thu
to 83. no concerns now on the west side of the wealthway -- on the beltway. down to 95. megan and charley, over to you. >> crime that shocked and angered many people a tourist beaten and robbed in baltimore. it was on st. patrick's day as the cameras were rolling. one of the attackers is due in court. and we have more live with the story. what is expected to happen today? >> that beating happened here on the steps of mitchell courthouse the place where shanti baldwin will be in court for sentencing. she and three others took place in a robbery and beating. and it was videotaped and went viral on line. police say that baldwin and others beat up a tourist and left him unconscious s a woman is beating the victim with a shoe. a man is beaten and stripped of clothing. people were so enraged by this that the officers received tips to identify the suspect and bring him into custody. three other people were arrested and they have been sentenced. baldwin will be sentenced at 9:30 for that beating on st. patrick's day. she could face three years in prison. sherrie johnson, abc 2 news. >
